Gradient tints without lines
A gradient tint fades from dark at the top to clear at the bottom of the lens. It is popular for sunglasses and fashion frames, but a hand-dipped gradient easily shows lines. The Ala moves the lens in a double motion, so the gradient stays smooth.
What to look for
- Double motion for a smooth gradient without lines
- The operator sets the gradation on the lens
- Any lens shape can be graded
- Works together with a colouring machine such as the Tinta
