The TW-2470 measures intraocular pressure mechanically: the weight indents the cornea slightly and the pointer shows how far. You read the pressure in mmHg from a conversion table.

Without electronics no power or battery is needed: practical as a back-up instrument, on home visits or where there is no power. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use and cleaning.
