Fundus examination

Lenses and instruments for looking at the back of the eye: handheld aspheric lenses (20D, 78D, 90D) for use with a slit lamp or an indirect ophthalmoscope, a three-mirror lens and direct ophthalmoscopes. The right dioptre depends on the field of view and the magnification you need: a stronger lens such as the 90D gives a wider view, a weaker one such as the 20D a larger image.
